What will you learn
You will study yoga history and philosophy in a non-dogmatic, evidence-based way, with an introduction to the classical texts that have shaped yoga practice. Anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics are taught in depth, giving you a clear understanding of functional movement and how to apply yogic tools beyond asana, such as pranayama, meditation, mudra, and mantra.
The Spanda Vinyasa Method of intellegent sequencing includes two vinyasa sequencing methods that provide a reliable structure while allowing flexibility. You will learn to build classes around physical themes, such as strength and stability in the legs, as well as around the Five Elements, drawing from both Ayurveda and modern anatomy. Beyond sequencing, you will practice how to integrate pranayama, meditation, mindfulness, mudra, and mantra into classes in a purposeful and accessible way.
You will also learn how to design safe classes for beginners, including the effective use of props, modifications, and adjustments, as well as how to teach restorative classes supported by props.
The program also covers teaching methodology, including an introduction to trauma-sensitive approaches. Finally, you will gain practical tools for professional growth, such as how to begin teaching, build your offering, and develop your own teaching identity.
If you would like to experience some of our classes to get the feel of the Method we teach, check out PRACTICE WITH US.
